Since its founding in 2010, the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) has worked to build the evidence base for clean cooking by commissioning and conducting a wide range of research. While the negative impacts of traditional cooking practices have long been well-established, CCA has sought to provide strong data showing the benefits of clean cooking on health, environmental, climate, gender, and economics. CCA continues to support rigorous research studies to demonstrate that the adoption of clean cooking solutions and the disuse of traditional cookstoves and fuels will lead to the achievement of the clean cooking sector’s goal of universal access to clean cooking by 2030.
