MissionWe are a local Malawi grassroots-based NGO founded in 2003 and registered in 2007 and legally operating in the Southern Region of Malawi. Our desire is to address the plight and connection between HIV/AIDS, food security, livelihood patterns, effects of global warming and climate change and the prevailing gender imbalances, its effects and impact to the poor rural households in Balaka district, Malawi.

Vision - We envision a world in which all human beings are morally, mentally and physically developed and have opportunities to reach their full potential.

Mission - Positive Steps exists to improve rural and grassroots households livelihood by providing sustainable integrated, locally driven solutions for human development.

Clean Cooking ActivitiesWe are in the final stages of developing a business plan for cookstove distribution in Balaka, Chiradzulu, Mangochi and Phalombe districts.

The project aims to distribute more than 300,000 improved cooking stoves. The initiative wishes also to generate some income from pro-poor carbon markets like the CDM and the Gold Standard.
PartnershipPositive Steps defines itself an an NGO which is ready to take part in being a local partner enabling and engaging the grassroots communities on energy efficiency and mobilize the end-users on the effects of green-house gases.
