| Clean Cooking Activities | TIDE’s primary area or work is demonstrating innovative livelihoods for women (and men) through sustainable energy access. It has been a woman led organization for the past 15 years. Its engaged presence at the grass roots has been reinforced by its rural campus - Woman’s Technology Park in Karnataka. It works at the interface of Science and Society by translating innovative biomass energy research into empowerment and impact. |
| Partnership | TIDE has expertise to do needs assessment of cook stoves, particularly in rural India. Following which, we recommend existing designs or adapt as per needs. Our USP is 100% migration to clean cook stoves where we facilitate construction of smokeless fuel efficient stoves by demolishing old stove. We work with rural women who are trained by us in construction of cook stoves , and who become champions of this cause. We can partner for Gender linked initiatives in clean cook stoves, in need assessment and dissemination, in building local capacity in cook stove fuel supply chain. |
