Mission |
Vision A Kenya where both rural and urban poor communities countrywide are enjoying better living standards and are empowered to implement initiatives that bring sustained benefits in sound environmental management and access to social and economic services, improved livelihoods and employment opportunities. Mission Support communities in their efforts to alleviate poverty through providing financial and technical support to community-based, demand driven and sustainable initiatives that reduce poverty, create socio-economic advancement, conserve biodiversity, and improve ecological stability and environmental management. Mandate To support community development initiatives of poor Kenyan communities through their participation and involvement, in development projects, using a flexible demand driven funding mechanism that provides financial and technical support for development projects in health, education, technical training, water supply and sanitation, agriculture and livestock production, economic infrastructure, income generation, environment conservation, threatened ecosystems, solid waste management and environmental awareness and advocacy. |
